Greyhound (Indoor): Despite their racing heritage, retired Greyhounds are famously couch potatoes indoors, making them excellent apartment dogs. Once their short bursts of energy are spent, they are calm, quiet, and enjoy lounging for hours. Their short coat is low-maintenance, and they are typically house-trained quickly. Gentle and dignified, they are generally good with respectful children and other dogs. A daily walk and occasional run in a secure area suffice. Sensitive and intelligent, they respond well to positive reinforcement. While large, they don’t require a yard. Their quiet, laid-back nature and loyalty make retired racing Greyhounds surprisingly well-suited and deeply affectionate companions in city apartments.
