Alaskan Malamute: Similar to Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes are powerful sled dogs with strong pack instincts and potential for dog aggression. Bred for strength and endurance, they are independent and can be dominant, especially with dogs of the same sex. They have high prey drives and may not be safe with small pets. Malamutes are generally friendly with people but require firm, consistent training from an early age. Without proper socialization and leadership, they may challenge authority or become territorial. Their size and strength demand experienced owners. While not inherently vicious, their assertiveness and power mean that any aggression can be dangerous, emphasizing the need for responsible breeding and training.
