Steam Controller (Discontinued): The Steam Controller though discontinued was a bold experiment in PC gaming input. Released by Valve it featured dual high-resolution trackpads instead of analog sticks offering precise cursor control ideal for FPS and MOBA games. It included gyro aiming haptic feedback and extensive customization via Steam Input. Each button and pad could be remapped to keyboard mouse or gamepad functions enabling console-like play for any PC title. Its ergonomic shape fit comfortably in hand and the central touchscreen provided dynamic feedback. It connected via USB or wireless dongle. While it never achieved mainstream success its influence lives on in modern input mapping and adaptive controls. The Steam Controller remains a cult favorite for its innovation and flexibility in bridging PC and console gaming experiences.
