Certain Martian surface features, like the infamous "Face on Mars" in Cydonia and pyramid-like structures, have fueled theories about ancient alien artifacts. While NASA confirms these as natural formations shaped by erosion and pareidolia (the tendency to see faces in random patterns), their geometric precision continues to intrigue some researchers. The "Mars Megalith" showing apparent right angles and the "D&M Pyramid" with symmetrical geometry remain controversial. Most scientists attribute these to unusual geology and lighting, but their visual strangeness keeps alive speculative theories about possible ruined structures from a lost Martian civilization, despite lacking conclusive evidence.
