Cosmic Strings

Cosmic strings are hypothetical, incredibly dense one-dimensional defects in spacetime, theorized to have formed in the early universe. Some models suggest that these structures could act as natural wormholes or provide the extreme gravitational conditions necessary to create or stabilize tunnels in spacetime. While their existence remains unconfirmed, detecting cosmic strings through their unique gravitational lensing or wave signatures would provide a compelling indirect clue that wormholes might be more than science fiction.
