James Leininger (USA 1998) The son of a Christian family in Louisiana James began having nightmares at age two screaming about a plane crash. He drew airplanes and named a pilot "Jackson" and an aircraft carrier "Natoma." His parents discovered the USS Natoma Bay fought in WWII and a pilot named James Huston died when his plane was shot down near Iwo Jima. James accurately described cockpit details landing gear and battle events. He recalled dying in the water and recognized Huston's photo. No family exposure to the story was found. The case gained attention through the book "Soul Survivor" and remains a key example of detailed verifiable past-life recall in a Western child.
