Bobby Hull Bobby Hull was a dynamic winger whose blistering slapshot and offensive prowess made him a star in both the NHL and WHA. Known as "The Golden Jet" for his speed and blonde hair, he scored 610 NHL goals and 303 in the WHA, totaling over 1,000 in his career. With the Chicago Blackhawks, he won the Hart Trophy twice and led the league in scoring seven times. His 1968–69 season, when he scored 58 goals, earned him MVP honors. Hull’s decision to join the WHA in 1972 shattered salary norms and forced the NHL to evolve. Though controversial later in life, his on-ice impact was immense. He helped popularize the slapshot and expanded hockey’s reach. Hull’s combination of power, speed, and marketability made him a transformative figure in professional hockey history.
