Saw-Scaled Viper (Echis carinatus)

The saw-scaled viper (Echis carinatus) is a small but exceptionally aggressive snake responsible for countless fatalities across Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. Despite its modest size, it possesses a highly potent hemotoxic venom that causes severe tissue damage and disrupts blood clotting. It is infamous for its defensive posture, rubbing its keeled scales together to produce a distinctive "sizzling" warning sound.
