The Challenger Disaster Dream (1986) A schoolteacher from Georgia reported dreaming weeks before the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion that the shuttle broke apart mid-flight with smoke forming a giant Y shape in the sky. She wrote to NASA warning of the danger but was ignored. On January 28th the shuttle exploded 73 seconds after launch with smoke trails forming a distinct Y. Her account was verified by local news prior to the event. While skeptics attribute it to subconscious fears about the aging shuttle program the specificity of the visual detail makes it a standout case. It was reviewed by the Rhine Research Center as a credible example of possible precognition.
