Ötzi the Iceman (1991)

Discovered in the Ötztal Alps in 1991, Ötzi is Europe's oldest known natural human mummy, dating to around 3300 BCE. His incredibly preserved body and equipment, including clothing and a copper axe, provide an unprecedented snapshot of Copper Age life. Studies of his tools, diet, health, and even the cause of his violent death have revolutionized our understanding of early Alpine communities and their technology.
