The Stanley Hotel Room 217 (1991)

Top 10 Paranormal Photo Analyses

The Stanley Hotel Room 217 (1991) A guest photograph in Stephen King’s inspiration room shows a misty outline near the closet door resembling a crouching man. The hotel has long reported activity linked to founder Flora Stanley. The photo was submitted to the International Ghost Hunters Society which conducted pixel depth and luminance tests. Results indicated the anomaly absorbed light differently than the wall background. No heat source or moisture explained the form. While pareidolia is possible the location’s documented history of disturbances adds weight to the interpretation. The image remains part of the hotel’s official ghost archive.
