The Eagles: Formed in Los Angeles in 1971, The Eagles fused rock, country, and folk into a polished sound that dominated the 1970s. With iconic tracks like "Hotel California," "Take It Easy," "Desperado," and "Peaceful Easy Feeling," they captured both the allure and disillusionment of the American dream. Their 1976 compilation Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) is one of the best-selling albums ever. Internal conflicts led to a breakup in 1980, but a reunion in 1994 solidified their legacy. Known for tight harmonies and lyrical storytelling, the band reflected Southern California’s cultural landscape. Their music remains a staple of classic rock, and their influence extends to country and pop artists. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
