The SS Marine Sulphur Queen, a T2 tanker converted to carry molten sulfur, vanished without a trace on February 3, 1963, while sailing from Texas to Virginia with 39 crew members. The 504-foot vessel was last heard from near the Florida Keys when it sent a routine radio message. Despite an extensive search, only a few life preservers and debris were ever found. The ship's disappearance remains one of the Bermuda Triangle's most baffling mysteries, with theories ranging from structural failure due to the corrosive sulfur cargo to unexplained supernatural causes. No distress signal was ever received.
